The Flickering Light

The story is based on true events and tells a beautiful story between Stefan and Anna, two Romani people under the most horrific, but also bizarre circumstances – as they are taken out of the horror of the camps to become extras in the making of Leni Riefenstahl’s "Tiefland" filmed in Germany during WW2.

The script shines a light not only on the meaningless horror of the Holocaust, but the intimate interaction between humans who helped each other survive, the magic of cinema, and the ridiculous madness from ambitious, narcissistic personalities who were more disconnected from reality than the films they were making.
